Join fellow TM meditators as TM teacher, Matthew August, leads a 2-hour refresher course on Saturday, May 23rd, 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Berkeley TM Center.
A Refresher is a comprehensive, single-session review of the four-day TM course, including the do's and don'ts of how to meditate correctly; an understanding of the many experiences that can occur during TM practice; questions and answers about personal experiences; and a relaxing group meditation. The refresher lasts about 2 hours. Anyone who has learned TM is welcome to attend.
About Matthew:
Matthew has been a teacher of Transcendental Meditation for over 15 years and has been practicing the technique himself for nearly two decades. In addition to teaching at TM Centers, he has shared the TM technique in diverse settings, including high schools, veterans' rehabilitation programs, government institutions, and with health professionals. He is one of the core teachers at the Berkeley TM Center, regularly offering refresher classes and courses throughout the East Bay. Matthew has a special talent for helping students integrate TM into their daily lives, making this technique accessible and practical for modern living. He especially enjoys answering questions and guiding students through challenges in their practice with a calm, patient, and lighthearted approach. His favorite aspect of teaching is seeing the relief and transformation that students experience as they reduce stress and reconnect with themselves.
